Spray Foam
Spray foam is best for exterior walls. It not oly funtions as an excellent insulation, but also a tight vapor barrier, sealing areas that otherwise would be likely to have drafts. It is also a water sealant and helps prevent water seapage in the right applications, like some basements or crawl spaces.
Cellulose Blown-In Insulation
Cellulose Blown-In Insulation is an eco-friendly, loose-fill insulation made primarily from recycled paper products, such as newspaper, treated with fire-retardant additives. Fiberglass
Fiberglass is a blend of extremely fine particles of glass available in faced (paper backing) or unfaced. It can be an especially good choice for interior walls as it helps insulate your home or other space, and can be additional soudproofing. Spray foam is recommended for any exterior walls.
Foam Panels
A softer foam that can be manipulated or cut to different shapes and fits easily between studs. However, it is a softer material that doesn’t offer the airtight seal and stability that spray foam does. Lower R-value, yet similar to fiberglass, it can be a good choice for interior walls to provide additional soundproofing, etc.
